An afternoon of fresh air, fall light, and three very energetic kiddos doing what they do best—exploring, playing, and having a whole lot of fun. We spent the afternoon wandering through a beautiful natural setting in Orange County, chasing each other, collecting pine cones, balancing on fallen trees, checking out the rescue horses nearby, and letting the kids lead the way.

I love when a family session can unfold a little more like an afternoon of play than a photo session. Rather than asking little ones to sit still and smile, I love giving families the freedom to play, explore, and simply be themselves. And when the oldest kiddo held my hand as we walked back to our cars at the end of the session? I’d call that a pretty successful day. 🥹
