Steam swirling up from a freshly brewed cup of coffee. The curtains dancing lazily as a light breeze comes through. A gentle kiss on your forehead, a soft hand on the small of your back.
Sometimes the greatest beauty is found in the smallest, fleeting moments. Glimpses into the everyday and what it’s like to be in this season of life.
To experience love in all its forms as you write your story.
And just like the steam disappearing into the air, it can all come and go so quickly. One minute you’re dashing hand-in-hand through the rain to the car, laughing so hard you can’t breathe, wondering if this is what true love feels like. And the next, you’re reading your vows and trying your hardest not to cry. And then there’s the pitter-patter of tiny feet running down the hallway.
We can’t freeze time, but maybe just this once, let’s document it and turn it into something tangible. Memories in your heart and in your hands.
YES PLEASE, LET’S DO IT
My top two love languages are quality time and acts of service, so it’s pretty sweet that my “job” is now hanging out with the most awesome humans and helping them preserve their memories through photography. Even though I took my time getting here, from studying Biology in college to completing my Master of Public Health, then navigating the corporate world, I bet 8-year-old Lori would be pretty dang proud!
There’s just something so special about creating these tangible memories for people to hold on to and pass down.
Like time capsules we can open again and again, and feel it all over again.
So many things inspire me, but hand on heart, it's always you, and all my wonderful clients, who inspire me most. I get a front-row seat to your story and witness your connection first-hand, but I also love taking a step back, so you have all the space to simply be yourselves. That's what lets me experience and capture what it's like to be in your world, and let it all unfold as organically as possible.
And then when I get an email or text from a client after sending them their gallery, and they’re crying those happy tears, that right there is the moment that reminds me why I do this. That’s the most fulfilling part of it all.

Let’s be real, we’re all here for the unfiltered truth, right? So, I mustered up the courage to ask three people who know me inside out to describe me in 10 words or less.
And yes, I thought I’d leave Brian, my hubby, off the hook, haha!
